Kenny Dorham took a trip to play in Brazil and brought us all back a gift with this fantastic Bossa Nova tune.

Blue Bossa is just such a classic, all around!

Blue Bossa! What can I say? Where to start? It has so many possibilities. First, it is a classic! I mean, really, who doesn't love a good jazz jam on Blue Bossa? In fact, I almost forgot this was actually work when I was recording this tune!

Next, the melody! For me, playing jazz, particularly standards, is all about the melody, because the melody helps us understand the harmony and how it works. And, it helps us to then create our own melodies for improvisation.

Of course, Blue Bossa has that classic, memorable, jazz melody - at least for me it does. And, it is one you can use to play off as you develop your own.

And, last, this tune has a wonderful harmony that is simple enough to let us expand our playing, while not being too simple as to become boring.

So, there you have it. Blue Bossa is a Jazz Guitar wonderland! I just can not get enough! Seriously!

SO! Check out what we can do over Blue Bossa and get some extra Jazz Guitar Lesson love as I walk you through how to make this song part of your guitar toolkit!

This is a great-fresh look on a classic tune that I know you will dig, AND, you WILL learn how to play on it, not just "read about it!!"

So you know what to do. DIG IT and push play!

Check it out and let me know in the comments.

PS. There is a live demo of this song as well.
