FOUR BURNS! I mean this whole heartedly. It just just has that "something" to it that makes playing a "DIG" experience. Dig?
That is because Miles Davis' genius of taking harmony and making it Modal, all while giving space for players to play "regular" changes is the ultimate key when it comes to soloing on this classic Miles Davis tune.
Of course, Four was "pre-modal" for a Miles composition, however, it has all the sauce inside to allow us to think of this tune as a modal song - even its purest form.
Now if you REALLY want to get INSIDE FOUR - I encourage you to watch the Four Jazz Guitar Lesson because there are more than just a few "tricks" up my sleeve on this tune.
This is a great-fresh look on a classic tune that I know you will dig, AND, you WILL learn how to play on it, not just "read about it!!"
So you know what to do. DIG IT and push play!
Check it out and let me know in the comments.
